Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Norway pumped about 2.419 million barrels of crude oil a day in January, falling 1.2 percent from the month before, according to preliminary figures from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
Oil output was 2.448 million barrels a day in December, the directorate, which oversees the nation's oil industry, said on its Web site today. Norway is the world's third-largest oil exporter after Saudi Arabia and Russia.
The nation pumped about 364,000 million barrels a day of condensate and natural gas liquids in January, the directorate estimated. That compares with 382,000 barrels a day the preceding month.
In 2006 as a whole, total production of oil and gas dropped 3.3 percent to 248.8 million standard cubic meters. Crude oil output dropped 7.8 percent, while natural-gas production rose 3.1 percent.
Following is a table of final data for Norway's oil and gas production for December. All figures are in standard cubic meters of oil equivalent, where one standard cubic meter of oil equivalent equals 1,000 standard cubic meters of natural gas. One standard cubic meter of oil equals 6.29 barrels.
Total oil and gas output in cubic meters: 22.6 million
- crude oil production in cubic meters: 12.1 million
- natural gas production in cubic meters: 8.7 billion
- NGL and condensate in cubic meters: 1.9 million
